The Danish gambling operator Danske Spil has announced an expansion to its ongoing partnership with global gambling sector presence GVC Holdings.
Danske Spil is set to join the GCV international online bingo network. This integration will mean that the gambling operator will be part of a network that already features a number of high profile bingo brands including Ladbrokes, Coral, Cheeky Bingo and Foxy Bingo.
Speaking about the deal, the Head of Bingo Product at GVC, Valentin Micu, said that the bingo team at GVC had been focused on producing a strong Denmark-facing bingo product, and that they were looking forward to working with Danske Spil:
“We have ambitious plans for what, we are confident, is the market-leading bingo platform, leveraging GVC’s unique combination of innovative technology with the best talent in the industry.”
Through GVC’s proprietary technology platform, customers of Danske Spil’s bingo service will now have access to the firm’s full portfolio of gaming content, including titles from third-party suppliers, along with exclusive games that have been developed through in-house development studios, that are also embedded in the online bingo game window.
The Director of Product Management and Gaming for Danske Spil, Soren Schneider, said that their partnership with GVC Holdings had been a key part of their ability to hold onto their strong position in the Denmark gambling sector, which was liberalised in 2012. He added that introducing bingo to their existing poker and casino platform would help to cement their market position and give their customers access to a wider range of gaming content.
GVC along with bwin.party, which was acquired by GVC in 2016, have already been supplying poker and online gaming content to Danske Spil, which has been a member of the World Lottery Association since 2012. The Head of B2B at GVC, Jussi Halme, welcomed the expansion of the relationship, saying that the company was delighted to welcome Danske Spil customers to the GVC international bingo network. He emphasised particularly the combination of GVC technology and Danske Spil’s position in the Danish market and the hope that this partnership would help to create major jackpots for Danish bingo players.
